‘Furniteur’ is a concept. It is furniture made by amateurs – in the French meaning of the word an ‘amateur’ is someone who does something for the love of it.
It is a range of products utilising recycled media and minimum tools which represent furniture items for use inside and out, for disadvantaged people, natural disaster situations and for students who by nature, are transient.
One example was a project to construct items from refurbished timber pallets. It was called, ‘Pallaissance’.
